I have designed many reports and documents for the UNEP. These data heavy, often dense documents cover a wide range of environmental issues, policies and studies. These reports represent months, if not years, of work by authors, scientists and researchers, and the content of them is incredibly valuable in communicating the environmental issues we face, as well as providing goals for the future. Many of these reports have international reach, often being translated into dozens of languages and shared with media outlets, governments and decision makers globally.

When receiving the text and raw data, my job is to create designs that present the information in a way which is easy to digest and engages the reader, whilst being respectful to the seriousness of the subject matter. From a creative perspective, although the work can sometimes feel dry, I’m immensely proud to be associated with these reports and to see my name credited in the publications. These reports serve as a reminder to myself, of the importance of visual communication.
