CONTI

BRAND DEVELOPMENT  //  LOGO DESIGN  //  CONCEPT WORK  //  BRAND MOOD VIDEOS

Conti is a resort wear marque whose name is inspired by the famous oceanographer, photographer and très, très chic dresser – Anita Conti. I dived into this seaside based branding project, producing several thematically different approaches to the same brief: to appeal to style conscious holiday-makers (think the French rivirera), seeking high quality summer wear; for the beach, for sight-seeing and for evening drinks on the terrace. Unfortunately (due to client-side personal reasons) Conti was never launched, and the branding project was halted mid-way, but I loved this branding job and so I was keen to include it.

CONCEPT NO.1

This identity reflects the water ripples and shapes made by the sea, in a sultry, sophisticated way. It has a decadent, grown-up feel to it, with neutrals, golds and deep blues. The mood video (above) gives a taste of the spirit of the brand. This route proposes the use of marbled paper to compliment the inky-like logo design.

CONCEPT NO.2

The second route takes inspiration from vintage travel posters, with bold playful colours reminiscent of beach umbrellas and mediterranean towns. The logo would be adapted from the sun-shiny colour palette, allowing for sub-brands such as; swimwear, evening wear and beachwear to be created. The mood video gives a flavour of the bold, iconography of the brand.
